Lost my rings

I put my wedding rings in my pocket like I always do.  I took them out of my jewelry box and stuck them in my pocket because I have to put lotion on Bub in the morning and it makes the rings all yucky if I have them on.  I always stick them in my pocket.  And now I cannot find them and I was late for work because I searched up and down and all around for those freaking rings.  They have to be somewhere right.  Right?  Because jewelry doesn't just up and walk away.  I have to find them.  I cannot have lost them.

ETA: I found my rings in my closet.  I forgot I changed jeans and there had fallen out of the other pairs' pocket and on the closet floor.  Phew.  I feel both dumb and relieved.

Dresses

I'm a pants/shorts kind of gal, but this summer I have been all about the skirts and dresses.  They are so cool and I feel fun in them.  So I've been rocking that look at work mostly.  I wanted a seersucker dress (you may recall) and I am still considering ordering the top one from that post.   But I have some coupons to Old Navy and now I'm trying to decide on a red shirt dress that would be good for work or a more summery one that I could wear on weekends.  I'm really thinking the red would last longer and it would carry into the fall much better and only it would be great for Wear Red days for my school.

I ordered a swimsuit from Lime Ricki the other day and it is super cute and I hope that it looks good because we are going to the beach for Labor Day.  Anyway...

The joys of library reorganization

I generally don't blog too much about work for various reasons.  But here is a work post.

Things, they are a-changin.  Currently or previously, I'm not entirely sure which, I was/am what is called the Special Projects Librarian.  I do all the stuff that no one else wants to do, displays, booksale, gifts, etc.  and that is fine.  No problem.  I was hired to do this.  I supervise one full time employee and one part time employee and they are crazy but we do ok together.  Now I'm being "upgraded" a bit to the Collection Development Librarian and gaining two extra people while keeping the same duties just adding book orders and department liaison to my job description.  This is good for me since I would eventually like to move further up the food chain.  I am happy about this.  My supervisor, on the other hand, is not despite this being her idea.  She is slowly losing control of different people in her department as everyone is shuffled around in the reorganization of my library.  So in a fit of brilliance or something I decided I wanted to move all my people into the four cubicle cluster outside of my office.  This is going to solve some morale issues that have been going on for a while and hopefully created a sense of solidarity in my people.  My supervisor is not happy.  She has tried at every turn to stop me from doing this.  I don't know why.  I really don't except for the fact that she doesn't like change and it wasn't her idea.  But now the Dean and the Associate Dean have agreed and it is going to be a fact and she is still trying to stop me.  This will not stand.  I'm going to get what I want come hell or high water.

BIG Photo Challenge - Theme: Technology

The Big Photo ChallengeI was taking pictures of my son and decided to take a picture of my Flip camera.  I always carry around my Flip and my little Casio camera in case he does something cute.  Yes, I am one of those mothers.

Hullo

Well, hello blog.  I can not think of one single topic to write about that would justify a new post and yet I'm sorry that I am neglecting you.  I will work on that and get back to you later.  I heart you, I really do. S'laters.

Seersucker

I've always been a fan of seersucker.  I use to wear it a lot when I was younger and I have a pair of seersucker shorts right now that I love.  It is such a cool fabric for these hot Louisiana summers.  I decided today that a seersucker dress would be nice so I went looking around the net to see what was out there.

This was cute from Target.

Very Summery from Vineyard Vines

And I like this from Thread. It's from the Bridesmaids collection but I think it would work otherwise as well.
Same company as above, same collection.  I really like this one, but it seems a little formal for everyday wear.

Going to the movies

Today I am going to see Eclipse with my friends and I fully anticipate a lol worthy time.  I hope.  I hear it is good and better than New Moon but then it really can't get worse.  Cleolinda liked it so that's something.  I think it will be a fun time.  But this might be my last Twilight movie.  I just don't know if I want to see Breaking Dawn given how much I hated that book.  Though it is because of it that I discovered Cleolinda at all so I'll give it credit for that.
