Project Runway Music Challenge

Project Runway is my favorite show ever. It is one of the few that I watch on actual tv and will watch in copious reruns. That being said I wanted to write down what I thought of last night's show. The designers had to design for each other based on a music genre inspiration thing. It was a little confusing at first.
Jerell designed for Kenley with pop. It was cute and kinda fun but I thought that a pop star who wore it might get mocked. But I could totally see a little poplet wearing it.
Suede designed for Jerell with rock. I though it was okay, like a toned-downed Jeffery. Which I guess is why they sent him home but it was that bad.
Leanne designed for Korto with country. Eh. I thought country was really hard because it's hard not to get a little costumey. But Leanne did fine. I didn't think the skirt fit that well, but that is what the judges like the best.
Korto designed for Suede with punk. She did an excellent job and it fit really well and was made well too. It was a very punk outfit and she listened to Tim and took it to the next level in an awesome way. Also, Suede rocked that outfit down the runway. Seriously!
Kenley designed for Leanne with hip-hop. Kenley seriously aggravated me because she didn't listen to Tim and argued with him. There is a difference between defending your design and being defensive and she just doesn't take criticism well. She also had the bad luck of having LL Cool J as a judge. It seemed like another case of her trying to make the challenge fit the design instead of vice versa. I also thought it was funny that Korto and Jerell keep telling her how hip-hop it was. Vair funny!
I hope Kenley is next or she grows up.

Icons

I made these after reading Cleolinda's blog. I thought it was fun and, since I love Nancy Drew, vair cool. It was my first time making icons but I think they look alright.

The Marriage of Bella and Edward

So I'm probably a little late on this, but I've been thinking. One of my friends loves Edward but I've always been a Jacob fan. I still liked Edward, but something about the Edward/Bella combo bothered me. Since we know what happens to them now, I finally figured it out.
I was talking to one of my younger cousins about it. And this thought struck me, what are they going to do with forever? Seriously, how is that marriage going to survive in the real world? (Yes, fiction I know.) But Edward & Bella were basically "I love you forever" immediately. Well, once they actually had a conversation that is. It was this weird intense thing that teenagers sometimes get for each other (adults too but whatever). They are both like inseparable and even in that suicidal thing that was New Moon, they were still all over each other. But that kind of emotion doesn't last forever. I'm sorry, but it doesn't. After a while, the day-to-dayness of being married takes over. Yes, I know vampires, but come on. After the first book, they never have conversations with each other except the "love me, no don't love me" and "why do you love me" conversations that go on and on. If there were two people who weren't good enough for each other, it's Bella and Edward, if only cause they both believe it. In Breaking Dawn, they barely speak to each other and just have sex like all the time after she vampires up and then play with Renesmee during the day. Oh, and learn to fight. I just don't know what they are going to DO together. They are basically pretty boring without their "epic" love/triangle/drama thing that they do.

I also think that when Stephanie Meyer's revisits her vampires sometime in the future, it will be a Renesmee/Jacob/who-the-other-half-vampire-guy-is book. Will Jacob ever not be in a triangle? Maybe Renesmee will resist the imprinting or something. Probably not.

For the record, I love all these books. I even like Breaking Dawn. Hey, it's SM's world, we just read about it.

I hate driving!

It took me 2 hours to get to work today! Normally this is a 45 minute drive which includes dropping LM off at school. There was an accident that held everyone up. I was literally about to cry and LM is getting mad because he is tired of being in the car. Well, sorry about that, me too.

My life is possibly boring

I'm trying to remember to blog. I think about it driving to work etc. but I can never remember what I want to say. I have started reading Cleolinda's Live Journal like everyday so I am learning about a whole new world on the internet. Since I was previously in reference, I mainly used the internet for research, but I don't really get into fandoms or anything like that. But now I have seen them. Interesting.
I watched Fringe last week. I have no idea what happened and/or why since the LM decided he needed my undivided attention right at the end and during the explanatory scenes. I really can't get involved too much anyway. I'm trying to catch up on my Lost. I'm on season 3 about mid-point, but I guess I'll watch season 4 online since it won't be available on DVD till December.
In other news, Kona ate one of my Netflix DVDs so I had to pay for it. I was so mad I threw both dogs outside and made them stay while I cleaned up and then took a nap. So now, he has be locked up again.
Everything was fine through Ike. It was more like a hurricane than Gustav except we only got sideswiped. Vair windy and rainy.
Okay, insert clever here and I'm out. Later.
